birthday birthday

An overnight bed & breakfast adventure in Astoria. The weather was perfect- & I'm in love!

An array of excellent signage:

The room across from us was full of excellent fashion sketches by a Don from the 1940s. Swoon!

The view from our B & B

.... at this point blogger is making me really mad with it's 'sorry you can't rotate photos after you upload rule' so there are just a few more before I go crazy. These are from Battery Russel, it's full of magic there, and a little bit scary.

A woodsy hike...

Daisy crowns

This post is sorely missing a slough of hats- damn you blogger! But they need to be shared so I'll find a way.
Portland is looking more like Portland in the spring- I want to worship the sun all day every day!

brrrr

Holy shet, it is cold. The beach was COLD. Portland is COLD. We didn't even get to hike or stroll the sand because we were too busy dodging 100 mile an hour winds and rain pellets the size of gumballs... not rly. But it felt like it.

In an effort to get back into analog photography I didn't take very many pictures with my Nikon. There are two rolls waiting to be developed, both shot with my Minolta- I hope there are some real gems on them. Josh and I found a couple of great cameras for an even greater price at Goodwill in Lincoln City:

A Pentax Spotmatic, from the 1960s.

A Minolta SRT SCII, from the 1970s- early 80s. Damn that's a telephoto lens if I ever saw one!

They make a nice pair, don't you think?

Pictures of our adventure to come!
