Sonu and I both grew up in Roseburg, went to the same (and only) high school, but didn't start spending time together until after our senior year. That summer we had plenty of adventures with mutual friends and by the end of freshman year at UO we were innnnn luvvvvvvv! We can laugh and laugh for hours. She is always ready for an adventure. This girl is amazing. She is one of the sweetest, friendliest, most positive people I know, and will ever know, I am sure! She is also one of the strongest. I have seen her hold her head up through some real shit, and even in the depths of sadness and heartache she was able to seek out the good like no one I have ever seen. She is an inspiration. Anyone who knows her will not have one negative thing to say about her- she LIGHTS UP YOUR LIFE!

FULL NAME: Sonu Allen AKA Kalindi P.* Allen. In India they love to give you multiple names to make it confusing for everyone. (*The P stands for Paul. Children are given their father's first name for a middle name. If I don't come home next week it's because she's killed me for telling you this.)

HOMETOWN: Roseburg, OR/Vadodara, India

SLEEPS: In a snuggle comfort palace. 

FREQUENTLY CAUGHT EATING: Sandwiches! Sandwiches anytime, all the time! With lots of veggies and cheese. NO MEAT, please.
WOULDN'T BE CAUGHT DEAD: Stealing. Lying. Cheating. No one likes a liar or a cheat. Oh, and eating meat, I would never do that. Sickos.

WOULD YOU RATHER TRAVEL TO THE PAST OR THE FUTURE? WHY?

Definitely the past. I would love to go back to really happy events and/or memories from my childhood/life thus far. I think if I knew what the future was going to be like it would take the excitement out of things. Although right now it would be nice if someone would just tell me what the fuck I should be doing with my life.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE HOMEMADE INDIAN FOOD.

Mmmmmm... there are too many to name. I think if I had to choose one it would be this delicious creamy paneer dish my mom makes on special occasions, like when her favorite daughter (me) comes home for a visit. Basically it’s a cream based tomato sauce seasoned with spices and herbs and big chunks of paneer. Usually it's eaten over some perfectly cooked basmati rice and rotli on the side. It might clog your arteries, but its TOTALLY worth it! Come over and she would love to make you some!

 

WHEN AND WHERE ARE YOU MOST HAPPY?
Anywhere with my friends and or family (especially the coast). I really have the best family and friends in the world and I will fight you on that. I’m also a big believer in making the best out of situations, so I’m usually pretty happy everywhere. 

ALIENS HAVE LANDED, AND THEY WANT YOU. THERE IS NO ESCAPE; YOU MUST RETURN TO PALZOR WITH THEM. THEY WILL LET YOU BRING THREE THINGS- WHAT ARE THEY?

I noticed today that there are only 58 more days until I’m 25! 25!? Can you believe it? I’m getting old..it’s pretty impressive.

I want to get the hell out of Eugene as soon as possible and travel Asia. I wish I could just take all my friends and family and put them in my pocket and take them on my life adventures. Someday I am going to move to Portland or San Francisco and settle down with my handsome husband (I have yet to meet him) and our two kids (I have yet to have them). We will buy a cute house with a porch swing and a garden in the backyard to grow lots of flowers and fresh veggies. Come and visit!

 

Sonu has some of the most fabulous hair I have ever seen! I convinced her to flip it around for me this day. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

 

When I moved to Portland it was all I could do not to shove this pal in my suitcase. Luckily she is just a short drive away! If you ever need a kind or encouraging word, someone to make you smile, or some delicious eye candy- she's your girl!
