Spring came and supposedly 'went,' but I don't believe it! Brrr Portland, BRRRR! Here's what I've been doing!

I also just moved in with the lova of my life! Sucha busy past couple of weeks, I am really looking forward to getting settled in and enjoying the summer- what little we might see of it!

wine and snow

This past weekend was romantical wine and snow getaway- and it totally flooded. Water in the valley, water on the mountain- Mt. Hood Meadows got 3 inches of rain in 2 hours! And .5 inch an hour every hour after that. That's just crazy. Of course the day after we leave the flurries start in again- oh well. Hopefully we'll be back up there again soon! McMen's Grand Lodge was fun except for the fact that our radiator was having a nervous breakdown- it honestly sounded like someone was banging the place down with a crowbar. Awful. They gave us a $10 gift card for some beers which takes the edge off a lil but may I recommend you never stay in room #5... OR #221, it's haunted.

i miss pictures

I MISS THEM SO HARD! Last night was the first time I picked up my camera since Christmas- that is just too weird. I miss the frame and snap and I am going to GET IT! The pictures I took last night were of some Magic Rocks my mom got me- I regret not waiting until daylight to try and grow them (I say try because even this morning they are looking pretty pathetic). If you don't know what Magic Rocks are, behold:

You put some funny little rock chunks into a plastic tank (mine has an octopus) then mix the 'magic fluid' (ew) with water, pour it over, and within minutes they start sprouting- I tried to take a series of photos but damn, day time would have been the best. And maybe it got too cold for them to fully blossom last night?

Josh got me not one, but TWO tripods for Christmas- one that is full sized and more profesh, and one that is ever so cute and tiny but I will only trust to hold my tiny point and shoot. He also got me a shutter release cable which I am DYING to use with my Pentax but right now the shutter is acting up- damn! This weekend we are off on a haunted Grand Lodge wine tasting skiing snowboard adventure so I will be snapping away. Finally!

 This is my Great Gma's wedding ring. They were really poor when they were first married- the rocks got bigger as the years went on. V & L is engraved on the inside, you can barely see it here. I wear it every day.

Can I say something about this man? I just really love him. When he was helping me with a project I said THANKS! You're making all my dreams come true! And he said, as nonchalant as ever, Good. That's what I'm here for.

He makes me feel like all the bad things that have ever happened in past relationships just don't matter. 'Cause they don't.
